About this site, and who runs it
I am Owen Jiong — Independent developer · Founder of ZART. This site exists for one purpose: to put what I actually work on, think through, and get wrong into public, in date order.
Why bother
Models can generate a whole convincing portfolio overnight: cases, CVs, even testimonials. When everything can be produced in bulk, the only thing left that proves "a real person has been doing this for a long time" is a continuous record with timestamps that anyone can check.
So this site does not optimise for beauty. It optimises for not stopping and for being checkable. A few hundred words a day, for years, ends up harder than any introduction.
Who I am
- What I work on: the system, which year it started, where it stands, who uses it.
- How I got here: the engineering line, the business line, the two worst mistakes.
- What I am good at, and what I deliberately do not do.
The rules of this record
- All timestamps are UTC. Nothing is edited after publication; late additions are marked "addendum".
- Every published entry joins a hash chain over its full body (how to verify). Edit one character and the head changes.
- No credentials, host addresses, client data, unreleased business numbers, or identity-grade private details. A pinyin name plus verifiable anchors is enough; handing over a life is not honesty.
- Static site, no trackers, no cookie banner. Source on GitHub, build on Cloudflare Pages.
How to use it
- Engineering ability: read the journal — concrete traps and fixes.
- Judgement: read the essays, including where I was wrong and how I corrected it.
- Whether this is one human maintaining it: the timeline and the record chain.
- Partnership: email [email protected], subject line stating what you want.
